Contract.DIY is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Generated contracts are templates and starting points only. They do not constitute legal advice, create an attorney-client relationship, or substitute for advice from a qualified attorney. Always consult a licensed attorney before signing or relying on any contract.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Contract.DIY (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Contract.DIY is an automated contract drafting tool that helps users generate contract templates based on their inputs. The Service uses machine-generated text to produce draft contract content.
The Service is intended to help individuals and small businesses create starting-point contract templates. It is not a substitute for professional legal counsel.
3. Not Legal Advice - Detailed Disclaimer
Contract.DIY is not a law firm. The company, its founders, and the automated system that powers contract generation are not your lawyers and do not represent you.
Contracts generated by the Service are templates and starting points. They may be incomplete, inaccurate for your jurisdiction, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances.
They do not constitute legal advice. You should not rely on generated contracts without independent legal review.
Always consult a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction before using, signing, or enforcing any contract, especially for high-value or complex matters.
4. Account Registration & Security
You must sign in via Google OAuth to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
5. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are billed through Polar. By subscribing, you authorise Polar to charge your payment method on the billing cycle you select (monthly or annual).
- Pricing & taxes. Prices are displayed in USD. For EU consumers, applicable VAT will be calculated and added at checkout.
- Refunds. Unused credits from one-time packages can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Credits that have been used to generate a contract are non-refundable. This policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory or consumer-protection rights you may have under applicable law. Effective 2026-09-15.
- Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Price changes. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance of any price change affecting your subscription.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Draft contracts for illegal purposes, fraud, or any activity that violates applicable law.
- Generate content that is defamatory, harassing, or violates a third party's rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any security measures.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent.
7. Intellectual Property
Your contracts. You own the contracts you generate. We do not claim ownership of the output text.
The platform. Contract.DIY - including its software, design, branding, and underlying orchestration - is owned by us and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
8. Generated Content Disclaimer
Contracts are produced by automated drafting systems. While we work to improve output quality, generated content may contain errors, omissions, or clauses that are inappropriate for your specific situation.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal enforceability of any generated contract.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Contract.DIY and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or 100 EUR, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Contract.DIY from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and, where applicable, European Union law including the GDPR. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
13. General Provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Contract.DIY.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance.
